SOUND BATH MEDITATION
Sound baths are a meditative experience where the listener can more easily connect to the present moment.
Imagine the feeling of gazing into a candle’s flame or the dancing embers of a fire. Time slips away as you’re drawn into the steady glow, yet within that stillness, subtle, unique movements captivate your eye. The dance of the flames is unpredictable. Turn away, and you miss a moment that will never be repeated.
Sound baths are much the same—offering sounds that, like flames, follow no set rhythm or melody. If your mind drifts, you miss those fleeting notes, those one-of-a-kind moments. Both invite you to be fully present, immersed in a journey of subtle, transformative beauty.

Polyvagal Theory, founded by Stephen Proges helps us to understand the way the nervous system works in its responses to safety, danger, and life-threatening situations.
Just because we aren’t running from lions these days, doesn’t mean our system isn’t wired to run from lions aka any scary situations we find ourselves in.
Why do we struggle to sit in stillness, and spend a lot of time, effort, and money trying to “fix” our emotions? There are inner parts of us that rise to the surface when we are longing for more.
We are ever-evolving beings and with that, comes the desire for more. We want more money, more time, more health, more connection, and more growth. Since we continuously want more in life, this means we have to do things we haven’t done and go places we haven’t gone. Basically, it is inevitable that we will be in uncomfortable situations. And this is what we want. Our evolution, our growth, and our healing are all in the unknown. The key is knowing what your personal threshold is as you stretch your nervous system for growth and what is running in the background in your system that keeps you stagnant. Think about what your current goals in life are right now. Are you moving forward or are you confused and tired of being stuck? You hold all your answers, you just need guidance finding them. You aren’t broken, and you make sense.
Our bodies hold our wisdom. Our emotions aren’t right or wrong, they are information. All of your “self-sabotaging” behaviors and thoughts are actually trying to protect you. Your past needs to be understood so that you can be present with yourself and the world around you which leads you into the future where you are reaching your goals and the dreams you’ve been longing for.

This is a 4 session series combining nervous system education & regulation & immersive sound bath meditation experience.
Each education piece will build upon itself and each sound bath experience will lead you to deeper parts of yourself.
Combining education and application helps to evoke your transformation. The nervous system holds the answers for your healing and your growth.
Gain the knowledge to recognize what state you are in and how to come back to your regulated state.
Learn the language of what is happening in your system, in your behaviors, in your thoughts, in your emotions, and your body sensations.

Note: This is a new offering for me. I’m not quite sure how the groups will go. Initially, I had in mind that already-formed groups would be ideal. But sometimes it’s hard to put a group together with everyone’s schedules and time commitments so if you would be interested in me hosting a series on this out in the wild or potentially virtual, please let me know your thoughts!

1 hour of learning & discussing nervous system regulation
1 hour of sound bath
To get the very most of your time there is suggested reading to do on your own
Frequency suggested: weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly
Location: chosen & hosted by a member of the group
I can provide a location for an additional fee since I don’t have a studio of my own (yet) :)
Eye pillows provided for the sound bath
Each person needs a comfortable spot to lay or sit on: furniture, yoga mats, etc
Additional cozy items if you want: blanket, pillow
Dress in layers or have a blanket since the body temperature tends to drop during meditation
Sound Bath features Crystal Singing Bowls
Other instruments included: Rainstick, Pala seeds, Koshi chimes, and more
Different types of meditation are utilized in the sound bath including guided meditation, and focused attention meditation
Each of the 4 sound baths will be a little different from each other as we better explore our inner worlds
Moody Blooms is where I spend most of my time, so this allows for flexible scheduling
